Acting head coach of Hearts of Oak, Yaw Preko has jabbed for coach Sergio Traguil for labeling him and other members of team’s technical handlers as ‘saboteurs’.
Sergio Traguil was appointed by the club after the sacking of Japanese tactician Kenichi Yatsuhashi as a developmental coach in the club’s youth side but later took over the reins as a stop-gap coach for the remainder of the season.
However, after a streak of bad results, Sergio Traguil was demoted to his original role as a youth coach, and was replaced by Yaw Preko who had served as an assistant under Kenichi Yatsuhashi before occupying the same position under Sergio Traguil’s tenure.
The beleaguered Portuguese trainer believes his success was deliberately hampered by his backroom staff and assistant during his time as the head coach of the club, but Yaw Preko has hit out at his assertion in an interview with Boss.
“The man must be ignorant to think like that. He is incompetent and knows nothing about coaching,” Preko angrily said.
“If truly he has any idea in coaching, how he could blame me and other technical team members for sabotaging him whiles he messed up the big platform the team gave him all by himself.” Yaw slammed.
Yaw Preko led the team to a third place finish in last year’s Ghana Premier League.
