Ghana U20 and Manchester City midfielder Yaw Yeboah has joined Dutch Eredivise side FC Twente on loan until end of the season.
The 19-year-old spent last season in France with Ligue 1 side Lille OSC, making a handful appearances but he’s already itching to start his maiden campaign in Netherlands to make an impact.
“I’m really looking forward to playing for FC Twente. Last season I gained experience at Lille in Ligue 1. The coach has brought me here in the first team and it has given me confidence. That’s important to me,” Yeboah told the club’s website.
“I’m a player who wants to see how well that I can play football, love to make individual actions and I always want the ball.
“I can play on the wings as well as the supporting striker. At Twente, I hope to make a lot of minutes and be important to the squad. Thomas [Agyapong] has told me a lot about FC Twente and I’m looking forward to it,” he added.
Yeboah was part of the Ghana squad that failed to qualify to the 2017 African Youth Championships in Zambia, after falling to Senegal.
