Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Zdravko Lugarusic has revealed he was impressed with his player’s performance against Berekum Chelsea.
Berekum Chelsea hosted the Warriors at the Berekum Golden City Park on Sunday in the match day two fixtures.
Kotoko was determined to break the jinx after failing to win at the Berekum Park in the past but the Chelsea was able to maintain their good home records against the Porcupine Warriors.
Despite the draw in Berekum, Zdravko believes they are on the right track.
“I think the draw is a fair result of the game.” He told Asempa FM. “We are on the right track because we didn’t lose the game and it’s not easy to come to Berekum and pick a point. It’s a hot venue.
”Let’s just get back to Kumasi and think about the next game. We just have to focus on the next home game and the away games as well.
”At the end I was satisfied. The players played their best. Our substitutions gave us some better moments and created some good chances. We were just unlucky not to have scored.”
The Porcupine Warriors will host Bechem United on Wednesday at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
